Medicab offers wheelchair equipped, non-emergency transport services in the East Texas area with no geographic boundaries. Medicab services are offered 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. All Medicab drivers are trained in CPR and minor emergency response techniques and are equipped with oxygen and bio-hazard spill kits as well as the capability for direct communications with EMS. The wheelchair transfer services are offered to area hospitals, nursing homes, rehabilitation facilities, adult day care centers, and the general public. Medicab provides a unique transportation and mobility option for the wheelchair bound. We can provide in- house charge accounts, direct insurance billing, or pay-per-trip as needed. Services are fully insured and bonded for your protection. Wherever your destination may be, Medicab is ready to serve all your transportation needs.

Program Overview
NDMJ is proud to work with Smith County to provide assistance in meeting the transportation needs of the elderly and persons with disabilities. The 5310 Program is intended to accommodate the elderly and persons with disabilities above and beyond the existing public transportation programs using a voucher system. NDMJ provides transportation services to qualified 5310 passengers. For rate information, click here.
All 5310 related transportation services must be scheduled 24 hours in advance. Premium same-day services may be available if desired, please click here link to rates page for more information. The qualification process for use of 5310 services are identical to those of the City of Tyler Paratransit services. If you are qualified for City of Tyler Paratransit services, you are automatically qualified to use the services under the 5310 voucher program. If you have not applied for the Tyler Paratransit Services, please click here to fill out an application.
If you ever plan to use services within the city limits of Tyler, you must be approved by the City of Tyler for Paratransit Services.

NDMJ currently provides shuttle services to area hospitals, universities and college campuses as well as for special events on a reservation basis. Whether it be a one-time need or a continued shuttle route service, NDMJ is fully equipped to handle your customized transportation needs. At NDMJ, providing convenient travel services for our passengers is a top priority. In order to better serve our community, we have developed a Universal Travel Card for frequent users of any of our travel services. The Universal Travel Card is a pre-paid passenger debit card that allows all riders a quick, convenient and hassle-free method of payment for services. These cards can be issued to any interested passenger at no-cost. To sign up for a Universal Travel Card, fill out this form and email it to [email protected]. NDMJ Ltd. Transportation was the first public transportation provider in the East Texas area to offer Mobility Management Services to their passengers. Mobility Management Services include, but are not limited to:
- Complimentary, personalized trip planning services to all program qualified passengers.
- One-on-one transportation needs assessment for visitors and program applicants.
- Information and referral services about available public transportation options.
- Assisting passengers in navigation across multiple transit provider services.
- Conduct public outreach and education for area health and human service agencies.
- Assistance with veteran’s special transportation needs.
